Grocery Bag Storage

The meaning of thrifty: (of a person or their behavior) using money and other resources carefully and not wastefully.

I thought it would be fun to do a Thrifty Thursday post and share some ideas on how to use our everyday elements (items, money, time, knowledge) to help us all live more wisely. After all, "Knowledge comes from learning. Wisdom comes from living." Just because we are being a little more careful about how we spend money and time doesn't mean we can't live life to the fullest! Don't be afraid to do something a little crazy to save those extra dollars. Don't be afraid to try a new recipe that provides a delicious meal for your family. Don't be afraid to try anything! When I think of trying new things I always turn to my handy dandy Pinterest. So go ahead! Create that board that will inspire you to go out of the norm. I hope we can have some fun with our Thrifty Thursdays and teach each other new ways of living more wisely.

So, for my first Thrifty Thursday post I thought I would share my thoughts on our great collection of plastic Walmart/grocery bags (Random, I know. But we all have 'em). Under my sink is a monstrous pile of Walmart bags that I can't seem to get myself to throw away. I do use them for small trash cans and such but they pile up faster than I can use them. So, I found a solution to store them.

Yikes! What a waste of space!

An empty Kleenex box and some double sided tape! Who ever came up with this idea is genius. It works great and it is so easy to do. I just stuck some double sided tape on the back of the empty box and stuffed it full of bags! I'm working on emptying a second box to use ( I have the sniffles this week!) to double the storage space.

I love this idea and I am so glad that it has worked for me so far. So, try it out and see the difference and easiness it can provide.

Don't forget to follow me on Instagram, +1 it on google, like my Facebook page (, pin on Pinterest, and follow my blog!
