Manic Monday! - Windex for .50 Cents!

This was such a manic Monday! Note to self: Never go shopping at six in the evening! I have had a bit of a crazy day today. I am learning that balancing my to do lists and taking care of a newborn baby is not easy. But each day it gets easier. I love that life is such a learning experience, at least that is how I look at it.
I was not able to get to the store today till way later than usual. I am glad I was able to make it though. It was a very stressful situation for me. I don't know about you all but when things don't go as planned, I get overly stressed out and start to doubt myself. Oh, I hope I'm not the only one. Every time I think I have my shopping trip planned out to a tee, I get to our lame Walmart and so much falls through. It drives me crazy. And then it doesn't help when some of my coupons don't work with a huge line of people behind me. Well, that about sums up my shopping trip tonight. Yes, it could have gone better. Yes, I did score some good deals. And yes, I learned from it. So with that said let's get to some of the deals I found today.

Some Deals I Found!

I was pretty excited about this deal I found. It took some effort to get the coupons but it was so worth the effort. At Walgreens there is a sale on cleaning products. Windex, Scrubbing Bubbles, or Shout for 2 for $4. You can price match this at Walmart. There is a coupon on https://www.dailybreak.com/challenge/scj-hot-mess?t=join&utm_source=universal_marketing_partners&utm_medium=network&utm_content=300511&utm_campaign=scj-hot-mess $1.50 off of any one of Windex, Scrubbing Bubble, and Shout products. You can print out 2 per computer. Note: These coupons did not scan, but the cashier knew I had all the corrects items and keyed them in and they worked. So just be mindful of that. So, with that sale and the coupons it makes each of these items .50 cents each. Such a great deal!

At Albertsons Progresso soups are on sale for .98 cents. If you use the coupon from the SS 2-8-15 .50 cents off of 3, these are only .81 cents.

Last week I looked over all the clearance items and found these Glade candles on clearance from Christmas. I remember seeing coupons for Glade coupons online and sure enough there were some good ones. On coupons.com there are two coupons you can use on these candles. $1 off any Glade candle and $2 off any two Glade products. I used both of them and was able to get these candles for .49 cents. There are several of these candles still at our Walmart, so hurry and get to those!

Also, Bounty paper towels are on sale again at Walgreens. 6 count for $4.99. Use .25 cents off Bounty on coupons.com and also stack with the Ibotta offer for another .25 cents off. If you price match these at Walmart you can get the 6 count double rolls for the same price. They will price match those because they don't carry the regular rolls.

Update: use the check51 app and get back $1 on the Windex, $1 on the Shout, $1 on the Scrubbing Bubbles, and $1 on the Glade candles. That's $4 back!

I hope you all can get these great deals. Don't miss out on the Windex deals! Good luck on your ventures this week!

  1. Every Rexburg couponer learns quickly to not have much faith in our Walmart. I remember the same feelings and frustrations when I first started. Lowering your expectations does wonders. I go there expecting the items I want to either be out of stock, or not even carried at all. So when that is the case, as it often is, I am not too disappointed. :)

  2. I'm surprised that your Walmart recognized the SC Johnson items as 2/$4 instead of 2/$6 from the Walgreen's ad.

    1. My Wal-Mart usually takes the price of an item from Walgreens after one of their in store coupons and/or after the register rewards price. I always bring an ad with me to make sure the prices are correct when I ad match.
