My Ibotta App Review!

The meaning of thrifty: (of a person or their behavior) using money and other resources carefully and not wastefully.

I have been meaning to do this review for a long time. This is probably the app I use the most on my phone. I love that I can get back money on the items I buy at the store on a regular basis. There are many apps out there that offer you money back on your purchases but this by far is the best one. It is easy to use and you have many options of getting your money back. In this review I want to go over some of the highlights of this app.

How It Works

Ibotta works by giving you back money on items that you purchase at the store. You can use it on many items ranging from grocery items to clothing. You purchase the items that are on the rebate app and then scan in your receipt to verify the purchased items. It is helpful to verify the item you are purchasing is the correct item. You can do this in the app by scanning the item and it will show if it is the correct item or not. I would suggest doing this at first if you are not familiar with this app. It will save you lots of disappointing times of getting home and scanning an item only to find it was the wrong size or brand. I mainly use this app for groceries so I really don't know how well it works on buying apparel or other items.

There are many stores to choose from.

You can purchase brand specific items or items that can be any brand.

Getting Your Money Back

There are many ways to get your money back. The easiest way is by putting it on a gift from a number of stores that are on the app. I usually do Walmart and Amazon. Or you can choose to have the money put into a Paypal account. I have never used Paypal so I am not sure how it works or how reliable it is. The choice is up to you on how you get your money back.

Favorites About This App

Something I love about this app is that you can create a team to work toward bonuses that give you extra money when you earn so many dollars back on your purchase. Last month if you earned $10 in rebates you got an extra $5 onto your account. This month is earn $5 and get an extra $2. There are different levels to work towards. The purpose of having a lot of team members is because your team also has to earn so much money before you can get your extra bonus money on to your account. The more people you have on your team the faster it goes. I have about 24 people on my team so the team earnings gets fulfilled in about a day.

There are different bonuses to work toward and some will earn you extra money.

The teamwork bonuses will always give you extra money onto your account when you fulfill the requirements.

Another I love about this app is that you can combine these money rebates with coupons. I love that I can save money with my coupons and get money back onto a gift card as well. There are always great deals on Ibotta.

I hope you have enjoyed this review and that it all makes sense. For me the best way to understand something is to play around with the app myself. It is easy to understand how it works and very user friendly. I have been using this app for several months now and have been able to get back several gift cards now. I am sure you will love this app and enjoy getting money back for just buying your everyday grocery items.

  1. I've tried to use this app and I guess I just don't buy the right things? Or I don't scan things in time. I don't know, but I ended up deleting it.
